Service Manager – Zoom Drain Columbus
Location: Powell, OH (Columbus area)  
Position Type: Full-Time  
Compensation: Starting at $80,000 base + performance bonuses (uncapped earning potential based on team performance, operational efficiency, and growth metrics)

We are drain and sewer specialists (not general plumbers), and we’re looking for a seasoned leader to join our Columbus team. As a Service Manager, you will be the driving force behind operational excellence, ensuring the right technician gets to the right job at the right time while delivering legendary customer service. You’ll lead our service technicians, oversee service day-to-day operations, drive long-term team growth, and help position Zoom Drain Columbus as the go-to drain and sewer experts in the area.  What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of drain and sewer technicians to become industry leaders in service quality and customer satisfaction.  
- Oversee service daily operations, including use of ServiceTitan (our CRM platform), scheduling installs, and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.  
- Uphold Zoom Drain’s reputation for exceptional customer service—being the “heroes” our customers rely on when drains and sewers fail.  
- Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor high-performing technicians; provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and development to support long-term career growth within the company.  
- Monitor and optimize team performance, productivity, and profitability while maintaining budgetary and resource plans.  
- Collaborate on service estimates, lead installs when needed, pull permits, and ensure all work meets code and quality standards.  
- Build sustainable customer relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business, maintenance programs, and long-term growth.  
- Foster a positive team atmosphere through recognition, company gatherings, and a collaborative “Zoom Drain Family” culture.  
- Drive continuous improvement in operations, safety, and service excellence.  

What You Bring (Requirements & Qualifications)
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in plumbing, with a strong focus on drains and sewer systems** (clog clearing, camera inspections, hydro jetting, pipe repairs/installs, etc.).
- Minimum 2 years of managing experience.
- Proven experience leading installs, pulling permits, and managing job sites from start to finish.  
- Demonstrated leadership experience (formal or informal) in a service or field-based environment—previous service management or lead technician roles preferred.  
- Team player who excels at motivating others, holding the team accountable, and creating a highly motivated, positive work environment.  
- Passion for long-term growth—both for yourself and for building a high-performing team that grows with the company.  
- Valid driver’s license in good standing and ability to meet physical demands of the trade when overseeing field work.  
- Proficiency with computer systems (ServiceTitan experience a plus; G-Suite familiarity required).  
- Excellent communication, organization, multitasking, and decision-making skills.  
- Ability to adapt quickly, solve problems on the fly, and maintain standards of excellence in a fast-paced environment.
